| Description | Okay so, another guass sketch, but this time of a real painting, Mona Lisa. I've been working on this one for awhile, it's ironic that Mona Lisa was commented on "Dark Secret" for my next N-Art, it seems I'm way ahead of you!
This is intended on the thumbnail for enjoyment, because the full view takes too much away, and the detail is so vast on the Mona Lisa, well ... I may be a good artist, but I am no Leonardo Da Vinci! - mrgy05 |

i dont know why but it just seems a little wrong - i attempted to find something that was off about this but everything seems to be in place (xept the little chubbiness - but you already know that :P) maybe its her expression. and i know what you mean about versitility of N. i still bugger attemts at shading which i try :D

That's fine and all
Before you even commented, I was agreeing with you in the description of the map, I said how vast the detail is on the Mona Lisa, and that I'm not a true Leo.
I don't disagree with you by any means, and I know that this Mona Lisa doesn't credit the real Mona, BUT you have to understand there is a limitation with the objects on N and how detailed you can make a N-Art.
If there are extreme flaws, I need to know and get critiques so I can fix them, I won't feel bad. (Aside of the fat face) you say that there are obvious mistakes, point them out so I may tweak this N-Art later and better it's appearance.

Pfft.
Dude. I'm a great admirer of your work. Every time you come out with an N-art, I'm always hyped to see what amazing creation you've come up with this time. And I know I can't do an N-art to save my nuts. So, by all means, ignore what I have to say, if you don't feel that I have the right to judge.
I'm just saying that this doesn't even begin to come close to the brilliance of the Mona Lisa, due to the very obvious flaws in, well, her face. i.e. the most beautiful part of the Mona Lisa. I can't possibly say this is as brilliant as your other works, because I have in my mind the much better version of this. The mistakes are far more obvious to me here.
You've got to remember that it's us who haven't submitted any N-arts who are going to be judging your work the most. A band doesn't make their money buy selling their work to other bands. They rely on the fans to appreciate what they make. If there's a song that's simply not good, the fans aren't going to rave about it, are they? Nah. Heck, their fans don't all have to play guitars and drums and whatnot, but they're still the ones who are judging them.
Whether or not I can do this doesn't matter. You need to know if -you- can do this. Personally, I don't think you've pulled it off. Sure, it'll get at least a 3.5, which is well above average, but by your standards, it's not great. That's all I'm trying to say.

Nahhhh.
If you're going to do something like the Mona Lisa, you gotta get it right. Otherwise it just takes away from the whole thing... I honestly can't look at that and say I'm -that- impressed, see? If it was a stand-alone N-art, not based on a painting, sure, that could pass. But nahh. Not the Mona Lisa. Really nice try.

The shading, like my map, is iffy in some places (i.e. the sky, her face). Other than that, good job.
