Description Inspired by:
Surrounded by 34 Rockets - http://numa.notdot.net/map/94937
The Hard Way - http://numa.notdot.net/map/28574
After seeing those two ddas, I wanted to create something like them. The end result is a 1575 frame long dda with a lot of launchpads, 25 rockets, and so much gold delay that the gold may cause lag, which is why you should probably watch it in fbf mode. If you don't watch it fbf'd, then you may miss quite a few of the close calls.
Enjoy.
Yes, I know there are a lot of launchpads, and a lot of gold delay.
By the way, this is my 5th dda.
Edit: I forgot to mention that this is userlevels compatible.

How did I even make that typo?

Haha

Look it's move over 4 years ago :D

U ARE INSANE!!

in a good way of course.....i really dont know what to say..
completely agree with destiny

5555555555555aved
all the way

tOO much time

WOW, u spent too much time, or i probably don't spend enough
i watched the whole thing in fbf. Fuck. There are probably more close calls than frames 0_o

Oh My God

Jeeze dude. I couldnt keep up with the ninja + Close calls everywhere + That sweet door delay through the mine at the end = 5z all around

Huh?

Actually,

there isn't a single fake death in this. Which means it's compatible with userlevels. But yes, this was probably the easiest DDA I've ever made. The hardest part was probably not losing my patience while waiting for it to load.
cause its just fake deaths. but still 5/5

This DDA has so much gold delay it's crazy... 861 seconds remaining in userlevels.
My favorite part of this is the top-right. The ninja just completely disappears within a mass of rockets.

Wow.

I don't give a crap about launchpads. I just care about the close calls. But that was just...wow. 5/5aved ten times over.

OutrightOJ:

Trapdoor delay. The trapdoors that lock you in at the end have their switches on the mine, which works like gold delay, except that trapdoor switches always appear below the mine, so you can't see it. I also added a few extra trapdoors in the wall so there would be enough switches to delay the mine successfully.

oh my god...

that is amazing.
1 question - how does the ninja go through the mine at the end?
No gold delay adds a nice challenge, and makes it much harder to reuse launchpads, forcing N to move around the map instead of small areas.

Add some gauss turrets, chaingun drones, and laser drones in your sequel :p
What do you think?
Also, should I go for no gold-delay, or not?

love it, i think i was the one who bitesized it...none theless, idk why it isnt on the top rated page.
Wow. It lagged on my computer quite a lot.
i love the close calls
however, it would be so much more awesome if there weren't launchpads, they make it way easier

awesome

it doesnt

lag
Because this has got to be one of the most laggy ddas ever.

i don't get it

this is a super amazig dda, with so many close calls that i couldn't see the ninja between so many rockets, and there are still people complaining about it?! i think they are dda makers who are jealous for your amazing creation, i don't care about gold delay or only launchapd propulsion, this dda ROCKS!!! :)
I don't see how the propulsion could've been done better while still maintaining visibility. And in any case, I don't care if the methods are "boring" or repetitive - if it's fun to watch, it gets high marks. This was awesome to watch, so I say fantastic work!

4

only cause you used so many rockets
but i have never seen a DDA that has so many close calls with rockets that i can barely see the ninja for about 5 seconds.
4 ( i could never make a dda even close to this)

Tileset: 3/5.
Close calls: 8/5.
Length: 4/5.
Propulsion: 0/5.
Total: 4/5.
Cool.

3/5

i love the missile effects, but why not try to find a new means of propulsion as opposed to just doors and jumppads.
This is not a great dda. 2.5

No offence, but I think that (and most DDA makers would probably agree) it would be pretty easy to make a DDA with a lot a close calls if you used all launchpad-propulsion, a bunch of gold delay, 25 rockets, and trap doors to block the rockets. However, I think you did a better job of this than the two that you linked.

Blackson

you stole my line XD 5aved for sure! this is awesome!
You really do have no life.
5

do you have a life?

get one! 5/5
2.5 :/ twas nicely done, but boring to watch

Woahhhhh!!!

Best DDA Ive seen all year. The whole thing was basically close calls. I dont care about launchpads and gold delay if the closecalls are good, and this was amazing.

i think we have another clifty on our hands.

3.5?

T.T
who cares about launchpads
