I tried several times to jump over regular snapped mines in a 1 high tunnel, but no success so i moved them a little.
Could you just clarify some possibilities for improvement. What could the "alot of work" go into?
Any advice is appreciated.

Much better! It could use a lot of work, but it's pretty fun.

Incidentally, it is very possible to jump over floor mines in a one-high tunnel. See this map and the accompanying demo. (yes, the map data is really short. It still works as a map)
