Hey you little ant looking thing, check out these beautiful naked ladies. They’re nice and curvy so you can slip right between the pedals and prance about their crowns for water droplets, a rich gold in the rising sun. The undersides of these blooming beauties are tranquil in contrast to the revelry buzzing above, yet sadly stark and make traversing from the lower flower to the higher one difficult. Perhaps you can take a magnificent swan dive off the top, then it’s all worth it is it not? — Pizzles

But i'm not the only one who disagreed with your choice. Specifically, the aesthetics and replayability on pheidi's map were simply bland or bad. I could take a number of blackson maps and say that pheidi took inspiration from them, and merely copying a tile over and over isn't deserving of a contest victory.

What I mean to say is

It was dangerously controversial to choose that map for the reasons stated in the review. It was bound to spark arguments. I'm excited for the next Numacon, but perhaps you could employ a different theme (for example unique dronepaths, that would bring forth some AWESOME entries) and a more widened and careful view on the judging. Cheers :)

Well you know

The Sensei contest was off from the start. The terms were far too broad and didn't have a unique themse that would draw people in. Personally i haven't had a problem with any of the other NUMAcons, but /other/ famous others blatantly disagreed with your choice and you're reasons for it. Personally, I think it's obvious Pheidi could have done MUCH better, and he simply didn't deserve it over some of the other competetitors in the top 5.

"Best" is subjective.

Only famous authors are on the staff, so you're judges don't necessarily represent what the NUMA community would like. At least just add more judges, i'll see how the next one goes but just take a hint from what people said about pheidi's map.

For the love of FUCKING God.

Don't remove Numacon. The reason why it caused alot of grief is because the majority of NUMA disagreed with your (and the other judges)map choice. It really seemed like you only looked at the famous names, although i'm sure you didn't. Have 5 judges instead of 3, and have all 5 of them vote on the top 5 for how the order should go. Lastly, if you want another judge I'd be willing to (I've been around alot longer than you'd think).
