Hey!

This is how I get past some drones!
Demo Data

Hey!

Just wanted to give a bunch of feedback to your map.

First of all, I want to mention the difficulty.
Really, there were a bit too many drones. I couldn't get past them, and I'm not sure if you could either. The trick to enemy placement is having as little enemies as possible to provide the greatest challenge. Many enemies does not a good map make.

Secondly, I wish to talk a bit about gold.
Now, in this map, theres gold everywhere. That... is not really too good of an idea. Actually, that's just not a good idea. Mostly, you should limit yourself to maybe, somewhere around 50 pieces of gold for a map of that size. Remember that each gold adds 2 seconds to the player's time. Even 30 pieces of gold would give an extra minute to play the map, which is a lot of time. You have approximately 228 pieces of gold, giving 456 seconds, which is WAY too much time. Try to limit your gold placement, and only place it where it adds to the look of the map. You'll get lots more plays if the thumbnail of the map looks good, and placement of objects (not just gold) and tiles will help with that.

Third, the gameplay.
A map where you repeat the same actions can be called "redundant". You really want to avoid that in a map, by creating interesting scenarios of enemies (interesting does not equal difficult), open areas with room to explore, and other such rooms. This map, was incredibly redundant. it was jumping up curve tiles the whole time. And that brings me to the final point

The tileset.
Although some tilesets look very good when a pattern is repeated, this one i don't think fits that. Its pattern doesn't lead to interesting gameplay, or variation. It's just, the same thing over and over again. One thing about tilesets is that they need to provide a unique landscape for the player to manuever around, and for the objects to inhabit.

So basically, I encourage you to continue mapping, and continue to try improving alot. :D
