Map Data

Description This is about as disorientating as it is going to get. Prepare to be repeatedly flung across the chasm as you blindly stumble along, searching for the route you thought you saw.

A re-use of the mechanic from my earlier Stability [nmaps.net] map.
Extra Crunchy!

Map three of three for amazeus.

I hope it was a cheese hat that packers fans wear, i've always wondered what that would be like.

It is now time

for you to eat your hat. :P

this is hella cool

although this is just a remix (?) of an old map. 4/5

Thx

Hey dude how do u make the launchpads teleport the ninja???

You've got a thing for awesome demos, man. Haha I really do appreciate all the RCEs!

U are right its not the real one but yes its kinda creepy that all start believing that I am one of those freaks like Skinheads and other Hitler lovers...!

Yes

I was relying on the player forgetting either the path, or which way to go at each split point.
What I should have been clearer about is that because this map takes a fixed path most of the time, the thwump mechanism adds little value to the map and doesn't shine.
But in terms of not having control over where you were going, it's just a matter of holding left or right during the squeeze. So you get to the other wall slightly faster or slower, causing you to take a different path.
Yes, the original will always be far better. I realised that when I made this that I would have to accept that, and do my best anyway.

seven_two, I simply cannot see how you can describe the linearity as a downside. Mazes, by definition, are linear. There will be only one solution. So the objective is to make many alternative routes available, obscuring the solution.

I realised that if you could just sit back and peg out a route to follow through the maze, it doesn't give you the experience of being in it. I wasnted the player to be unsure of where he was going, because else the path through it would be obvious. An unfortunate side-effect of this, as Blackson notes, is that I couldn't give the player as much control as he would prefer. There would be control at some of the splits, but it's not immediately obvious which squeeze is going to be a split. So you can miss going down a path that you did not realise was there, and in this case I could not avoid that.

I thought this was pretty damn cool.
This seems like a lite version. I don't like the linearity.

sigh

I'm too forgiving :c
Perhaps 'awkward' could be used to describe it too.

...?

Why did you give it a 4.5^ then?
I was found doing the same loop for 5 minutes. This is original, You could have executed even better anyways, because a noob with no skill at all could complete this faster than Metaing or miststalker (who are really good speedrunners) because this map is like trowing 6 dices at once and try to get sixes on all of them. Pretty much luck based as a resume. 4.5^

I didn't like it.

The concept was annoying to deal with. I didn't have much control of where I was going. I didn't feel like I was exploring the map, rather, the map was being presented to me and I just had to move on to the next launchpad and try again to get where I was trying to go.

very interesting

i've never played a map like this before. very nice, and very cool. 5

much faster...

speed...

i guess i cheated?
Demo Data

Oh man

How do I compete with this stuff. And I was so determined D:

Slightly faster agd

Not sure if I used the same route as TBL exactly, though. This is rather good, old boy.
Demo Data

You're fucking cool remm.

Goddamn

This and your second amazeus entry were fantastic. I think you're gonna win.

Agd

I had already played the old version long time ago.
This is definitively an incredible concept, I really took time to figure how to do it and I'm still not sure I found the best way for Agd. Effective puzzle.
5aved.
Demo Data

I knew it!

I've seen this before. Cool
