Description You think you're fast enough?
Drone paths and mechanics.
Enjoy!

One of my favorite perks about N, and specifically N mapping, is replay-ability. Why should you not enjoy a map more than once?
Sure, you might get tired of playing it after a few minutes, but to me that doesn't compare to a map that does not become boring right away.
This fascinating zoas-map is built of simple mechanics, yet it has a great replay-ability factor. Almost every time you play you can find another easier way to beat your previous run, until you finally reach the goal of speed perfection.
Enjoy! — 123leonidas321

My bad, guys

I really liked this map myself, I guess you don't feel the same way

you said flawless?

pretty awful map

i wonder how numa ratings inflation compares to american dollar inflation over the last five years
But I don't really like this map... Don't even know why it just annoys me :\
3/5

Good

But definately not one of your best. 3.5
that's been developed about half way and left. It's not a good map, imo, but a collection of ideas that /could/ become one.

If you're having people tell you maps like this are great, good enough to be featured, I would be careful not to get complacent. Personally, I think you've got a way to go before your mapping reaches that kind of standard, and I don't say this with any superior intent.

You have some creative ideas, you need to develop them more. I see you and a few others 5ing each others maps all over NUMA, and most of the time they're far from flawless.

If you want to improve (And, imo, that should be the goal with any art), you really need to start developing your concepts more.

This, for me, would be about 30% done.

sorry,

but I don't see what's so special about this map. the drones hardly seemed to get in my way and the mines weren't too much of a danger as well. on a more positive note, I quite liked the start and the room with the exit-switch. 2.5up

I like the mechanics of this map very much, but AGD it is not worth I think as Eddy proved. Sorry for this inconvenience guys. :P

Wow Leo! Thank you!

It is really nice after placing dozens and dozens of maps on the front page, wake up and see there an own map. I like the zoas-map thing in the review, as a category label. Haha, again, thank you very much, I really appreciated it!

Congrats!

Your 4th featured map!
Peace out, guys. Won't be back for a day or two.

already faved

added to my review list ;)

I have always been

fascinated by this map... the gameplay varies depending on how you choose, and it is like a multipath puzzle. faved.

Check this demo

Its as fast as a 1898-AGD, because I beat a bunch of drones. Sadly, you cant use this route to AGD :(

AGD

Some parts were very fun and some parts were a bit annoying in my opinion(for example the beginning, it was uncomfortable to get out of the gauss room...). 3,5^

Hey!

I'm sorry for yesterday as well. I'll check it out when I'm at work. lol

AGD

This casual all gold run it's dedicated to two of my best friends in this community, 1211 and maxson. Get a sub2000 agd it's a real challenge for me, I think it's possible to cut those 20 frames, after these last drones, but I find it challenging. Thanks you guys.

I played the map, commented, rated (optional), and that's it.
in reference to my responsibility as a mapmaker to force the player to a desired path, making something for it on the map.

Everything is very simple and is based on:
> There are three areas, a central one to unlock the two remaining areas not? After completing the central area, left two areas the left one and the right one. The key is on the left area right? Why go first to the right, then go to the left, and then having to back mandatory to the right again? I think with this all becomes clear Rose.

It is your responsibility as a player play correctly and forward, trying to give the best of you.

@trance:
"That part of the map was optional."
Which part? the left or right? I think the left is mandatory, why you go to the right first if it is optional, and if it necessarily have to come back then?
I really do not understand anything, or what happens to you today.

And I ask you a favor, stop talking nonsense without even having played the map or have obtained a decent run.

I'm going to give the benefit of the doubt and say that we're misunderstanding each other because of language barriers. Because I never said this map had no effort.

This map has no effort? You make me laugh Rose.

Sincerely,

I think that this map is well made for a gameplay to all the gold and trying to make a good score. I really think it is absolutely absurd what you are saying. And I am very surprised. I will not argue anymore.
It is your job to make the map the way you want it to be played. That's one of the fundamental challenges (and sources of fun) of mapmaking. You gotta put in the effort.

Rose,

This time you're wrong man. You're not the voice of wisdom.
I just wrote what I think. :D
<3
It is your responsibility as a mapmaker to force or encourage the player to play a map a certain way if you so desire. If they don't play it the way you want and you allowed that, then you only have yourself to blame.
All I know is that he got a really poor run without trying anything alternative, he also realized that he had taken the wrong route, was content with that, he made his criticism /fully respestable / and just post. I did not see a really amazing AGD, then I can say that.

Thought you were more reasonable. I really surprised that are you two who are discussing these /so basic/ things as to the playability of a map.
So don't get mad at him for playing this map the way he chose.
I do not need to force anyone to play the map in one way or another /in this case/.
It is they who have to try to enjoy the map, and complete it in the shortest time possible no? Here are the drones who set the pace and the path to follow, and if you want to go away and have to wait for them, go ahead yourself man!. But do not judge a map or its quality based on your little effort when thinking and planning how to play the map.

What Rose said.

That part of the map was optional.
force it. Use mines, oneways, whatever you want to make sure they do that. But if you allow freedom, expect them to take it. And I'd argue that that freedom is good in a lot of cases! Many great maps have multiple ways to play them and have a good time.
Anyway I think you've ruined the essence of the map with this poor run. You really need to plan your route and your moves, and it's when the map is totally attractive and takes interest.

I honestly think that you played with little effort, and you has made an assessment based on your experience, and that's not entirely correct. Why you not try to get the real essence of the map, and the intention with which it was created? Why you do not try to go to the left area just after you unlock the doors? And then try faster and faster? I think then it could completely change your perception on the map and the gameplay.
I'd like it more if it was more open so more maneuverability could be possible. The other parts were fun, though. It just needed a bit more spice. 2.5/5^
