Description it's poisonous! The mines will give you visions of defeat if you lick them!

This map was featured on 2014-12-07

I don't know if it’s due to his weird taste in transgressive, brassy music and all its psychotic images, his obscure mind, or because he's just a crazy artist, but this dude is easily the most stylized, schizophrenic and shocking author around here.

Here's a powerful example, the atmosphere on this map is obscure and remarkable. If you find the gameplay a bit simple, I want to tell you that the fun and attractiveness of this lives and is based on linking those jumps and unusual moves as perfectly, fast, and weird as you can. The rest is just obscurity. — zoasBE

Sure, sure macro, I still like it a lot, but the featuring system overhaul worked pretty nice, isn't it?

That irony. :D

But just saying, my criticism was in no way intended to convince you of my opinion. The point of NUMA comments is to discuss what people like and what they dislike about maps. So even in the unlikely case that nobody agrees with the reviewer he still has the right to review any map he likes. It's the reviewer's personal choice.

Ok

I need to make a confession, this map is not feature-whorty anymore. I just wanted to make a feature team overhaul or new members recruitment and I thought that a PALEMOON feature would be the best way. And it seems it worked pretty nice. Thanks you all for your support.
I will send Aidiera a review on a map. If he says it's good enough, then maybe I could be a reviewer too. :)

Just try it, macro!

I'm aware of your writting skills and I think are fine. Send something to Aidiera and be sure that always there will be someone at IRC happy to proofread. Would be awesome have you as a reviewer.
I personally would love to pick maps to feature, but I'm not a good writer at all. :/

And lsudny too. Haven't read his comment because I was written mine. Agreed completely with you.
or at least the 80 percent of all the NUMA maps why you only favourite some of them and you feel really excited with a very few. I mean, although almost all the maps are flawless for you, you have ones more favourites than others, so pick from those ones. I think you're a skilled dda maker and lover of the genre (just as a quick idea) and I think the language os not a problem at all, I personally got into IRC to someone proofread all my reviews, I'm not english native neither. I think I heard you saying you would like to feature some of your very best favourite ddas, so this is a re-invite. Or real problem is that you feel bored to writte something?

ska you has a point though.
I have a feeling that even if few people still comment on featured maps, they're still a thing that's a center of the community in some way. see how many comments you guys made? if you hadn't looked at the featured map, you wouldn't have made them. people still care. many of them have left, but we're still here, and they're possibly lurking.

a refreshment of the reviewers crew would be nice, though
"I mean I give 5 rating to like almost all maps."

ZoasBE: it's difficult to give someone like this any credence when they make an assertion like this.

Thanks for the opportunity, zoas. I would love to review maps. But, I will turn your offer down with due respect.
The main problem is that I love all maps. I mean I give 5 rating to like almost all maps. I like 80% of the 234000+ maps. I can never choose which map is better than the rest. :( -_-.
Moreover, I don't have a good grip in English. It isn't my first language. Many a times I look up words from others' reviews on Google. Hell, I commit grammatical mistakes even after proofreading my own comments twice.

palemoon would you stop causing so much drama gosh

About the map.

It's lacking movement. A seeker in the middle would have been nice.

lol omg these wall of texts. are you guys insecure or what?
write more so people will read more

Thanks ska.

Agreed completely. This would be much more interesting, fun and rewarding if all those people ranting take his efforts and try writte some reviews and impress us with his choices and favourites.

So this is a cordial invite to a possible new overhaul of the featuring team, I would invite macrohenry, being the second best highscorer at the moment and being active enough and also playing a lot of NUMA maps, and invite too to Mohit, who is a best at Speedrunning and plays a lot of NUMA maps. Perhaps also an invite to mercuri who always rant and seems that have an exceptional taste about mapmaking, Fraxtil, who seems to be very active lately and his personal favouritism for solid conceptual maps. I'm only mentioning people who commented here and are not reviewers now, but the invite is for everyone here, just send something to Aidiera as ska said. Possibily we can overhaul the team with new members and decide about current reviewers who seems to be very inactive like lfaber, Etho, GHM, Cheez...

Thanks you all.
The fact is that PALEMOON is the Radiohead of Numa; he is alternative, haunting and conceptually brave. There have been many people who try to mimic PALEMOON's work, but it often comes off as inauthentic; just a pale (no pun intended) imitation. I agree with ZoasBE that each map should be judged on its individual merit and not the author who made it. To my fellow reviewers: don't be afraid to select a map to review, just because you fear it will attract some criticism. If you think the map is worth featuring, then go ahead and review it; you've been selected to be a reviewer for a reason; trust your judgement and give it your best effort to demonstrate with words why you feel it deserves to be on the front page. Also, non-reviewers, feel free to level criticism at the map, but think twice before being overly-critical of the reviewers. The fact is that these reviewers are taking a solid chunk out of their day — for free — to give you guys something new, and it's a bit disappointing to hear the constant nagging that we do. If you want more reviews of a consistently high quality, drop Aids a line and join the team, otherwise cut the few active reviewers that we have some slack.

Aidiera,

sure do. But only after your next feature. *puppy eyes*

Hello.

Please stop bitching about features. I'm considering removing features completely since they no longer get attention.

Well, Mohit,

I can discuss about that if you want.
Just today after making public this Featured Map, I went through all my reviews posted on this site. Yeah, I made a lot to PALEMOON, like 6 or 7, but also a lot to AMomentLikeThis, to mrgy05, to miststalker06. I usually tend to feature what I like most (no doubt about that no?) and you like or not, them are my favourites. I also made reviews to many others, that I consider obviously deserving, as per example the only macrohenry's featured, or conceptuals maps that I consider them deserve some kind of revival on the front page, which often bring controversy.

Actually, I review what I like. Here are other reviewers, of course, they will arrange to make feature other things. I have no problem not afraid to constantly create reviews of PALEMOON course interspersed with others, if they are well deserved and he is by far my favorite author. I have over a thousand maps, and frankly and in my humble opinion, I consider that I have many things worthy of a review, and it seems that anyone is willing to do Features of my maps, but I assume it, and not rant here. Well no, until now.

I think is fair enough.

Huh.

This is kinda unfair, zoasBE. PALEMOON gets a feature every other month but there are hundreds of other good mappers who didn't even get one feature. Wtf?

palemoon listens to

12 speed trance warning

I see to Nacho coming here and create a potent online tool to feature maps.

I like it.

Because of how haphazardous the tiles are placed, it's actually not always easy to see how certain jumps have to be done. One the whole, it's not too challenging, but it plays fun.
But this is definitely an interesting and very well-made map.

sub800 SR

And here's my attempt at Speedrunning, sub800 was an interesting mark to beat. XD

The way that this dude uses Ned is frankly odd and different.
