Oh I see. The trick is that you can have the thwump push you through the oneway without having to lure it first, but rather falling between the thwump and the oneway with a particular speed and angle. Its very random though.

To illustrate what I mean, the demo below shows what I mean, just imagine that it had pushed me through. You might need for heigth I'm not sure.
