Alright, here we go again, hopefully I fixed the issues. I feel like a complete idiot for not realizing those trapdoors were a problem in the editor but I think I fixed everything I needed to. I haven't toyed with it much yet but I believe the fixes may have affected some of the level. Hopefully it didn't affect it too negatively.

Much like "a heartbeat away" I've seriously been debating posting this one on NUMA. It's been up quite some time on Nv2 and I've really just been staring at in in the editor unsure if I want to. But, as you can tell, I'm going through with it, can't be as bad as heartbeat. I did have to make a few sacrifices with this one though with the transfer. There was some v2 exclusive mechanics in this one which permitted some aesthetics to remain intact without deeming the level impossible that I had to remove. I also went ahead and added a nreality mechanic to hopefully offer the possibility of a smoother route in order to get some gold.

Interpret this one however you like, seems like most people on v2 went for all the gold on the trip upwards despite intentions but to be fair, can't really expect people to witch hunt a good route on a level that is relatively difficult with no reason or rhyme and when there are an abundance of easier levels being posted at the same time as this with relatively given routes (on Nv2). I did find a somewhat smooth and good route for getting all of the gold using both the trip upwards and downwards while testing this so I'll probably post an AGD when I get the chance (it's much easier on nreality than nv2).

As always, be as harsh with criticism as you want, if I'm going to waste away my summer break and free time on something I want to at least be decent at it.

Go nuts. Hope it isn't too bad.

Mmmm, not half bad! I love the structure of this, but am not convinced on the enemy usage---the gold being guarded by the drones is mostly just a hassle to collect. Maybe if the drones we're offset by the c-snap and you could run across the top it would be better, but I'm not sure; I'd probably suggest a different pathing scheme altogether. Still pretty darn fun, though.

I

started mapping almost a year ago but don't really post to numa much, I usually just post on v2.
Also, I'm assuming you are talking about the nv2 version? To be honest I wasn't really a fan of the jump pads from the start, not for the same reasons, though. I still kept them because I thought it would feel awkward running into the circle with a decent amount of speed then all at once losing the entirety of the momentum when landing and having to start it back up again which is what happens on the one posted here. Usually in levels I try to make it in a way that you at least keep a little bit of momentum throughout and I guess that was what I was trying to accomplish with the jump pads, not that it ended up working all that well anyways.

this map was decent

I wasn't quite sure about the jump pads through the tiles, since hitting them on accident before hitting the switch makes it impossible to complete the level. seems like it was unnecessary for what the map was trying to do in the first place. It was difficult enough already without the impossibility factor.
are you an older mapper with a new account? this was more polished than most authors who start off.

oh

my mistake sorry for double post better run

bad run

not as good as palemoon

thanks for making me jolt out of my chair!
a lot of that gold was just so intimidating i didn't want to bother finding a path, but that's just personal preference.

i feel like the amount of gold already makes this map very lenghthy -- there's no need to make it longer with so many layers of oneways or switches.

anyways, it was fun!
