Map Data

Description I haven't made a DDA in a while. I could have stuffed it full of mines, but that could of created lag. Just imagine that they are there. It's just a little fun.

This map was featured on 2009-06-06

At first glance, the DDA genre seems derivative and inflexible; most submitted today are simply rehashes of "trapdoor propulsion, seventeen rockets, thwumps, and mines scattered everywhere". However, one particularly spectacular map that stretched the boundaries of this dull category was submitted... back in 2006! "Just for corner kicks" is a timeless map with its elegantly minimal layout, a consistent and innovative motif (corner jumping), and total lack of enemy clutter. This is a simple DDA that is absolutely a blast to watch, mostly because it almost seems like watching a real N player defeat an impossible action map. Great work. — skyline356

This is just

COOL.

haha,

check this perfect 300-scoring demo with a nice death.

The ninja isn't even working to complete the level in the fastest time possible. There is nothing to possibly cheat. And that by no means of logic makes it a playable level.

Cheated again

faster this time.

original

nice job
This map is so bad it's almost unplayable. I mean this jump itself is nearly impossbile. Wait, this gives me an idea for a simple challenge.

Haha

I love how the review sounds similar to mine, but without the bias and agenda. Kudos!

@teraza

Actually, it's also a playable level as it's cheatable.

hahaha

.joking?

WTF

this is a DDA not a playable level.

Way too hard.

The tiles were boring and hard to move around on. No rating.
Intuitive:Knowing, or perceiving, by intuition; capable of knowing without deduction or reasoning.

If I want to know what someone thinks of a popular map I'll look at the comments. Reviews lately are pointless and boring IMO, with a few exceptions.

Define:Intuitive

automatic, without requiring conscious thought; easily understood or grasped by intuition; having a marked degree of intuition
ALL DDA's ARE INTUITIVE, BECAUSE THEY WORK BY THEMSELVES!
If it is a good map, it deserves a feature, whether it is made by an utter noob with only unrated maps or an experienced author who has thousands of ratings.

Well

it wasnt anything special. 3/5

Well, Considering

this is his 10th Featured map.. Blackson's statement isn't really true, although I agree it should be.

Intuitive?

What's intuitive about this?

hella boring but intuitive
let the reviewer express himself about a map he enjoys, and letting the public see both his opinion and the map?
bring attention to worthy and unnoticed maps.

Sure it's worthy, but it's already had its day!

rhezz:

What if it just so happens that the author in question deserved 9 features? Look at the maps as individual maps, not as an author's maps.

GHM:

This brings the total to 3, not 4. Two if you don't include the one that shouldn't have been featured.

It Bother Me

Not the map, the map I 5ved. What bother me is that one person has 9 features. The mods need to branch out and explore other users. It is almost impossible to become a mapmaker that people actually pay attention to on this site because of the focus on only certain users.

This

makes l_d the most featured author, I think, at 9 (although it says 10 on his profile for some reason...)

Hmmm.

I prefer the dda I featured, obviously, but this is pretty spiffy too. It's got a theme, and that makes up for the kind-of bland set up. Maybe. Ish.

This is weird.

I love the review and it made me excited to watch this, but it wasn't as exciting as the review made it sound.

eh.

Very cool DDA.

I really like the use of E tiles especially.

4aved.

This is probably my favorite DDA of all time. 5/5

you are not mistaken

Right.

How can a DDA be hard?
Anyway, there wern't enough close calls. Nice map though.
3.5/5

Yay.

Another dda feature. That makes... 4? Unless I'm mistaken.

STRAIGHT*

Dammit, but a storm's coming!
