Jumper Puzzles are rare. The reason they are so rare is because they are exceedingly difficult to make. You have to know the ins and outs of the possible glitches and cheats players can use to cheat your map. A jumper puzzle without cheats is near impossible to make because of the skill it requires of a mapper. However, as difficult as it is, martyr has done the impossible. He has take tiles and added made them into a brilliant and uncheatable jumper puzzle while making it still very aesthetically pleasing. It is simply breathtaking. — cucumber_boy

thanks!

It's amazing how long this game has prevailed

easy for a jumper

have I rated this?
apparently not.
4.5^aved

5/5

I like

Also

Many endings were meant to be possible, just some faster and some harder

Yahoozy,

I'm siding with you.i wasn't the first.nor is this the greatest..I've had much better work, but I do appreciate the criticism.to reply to it: at the time this was created this was one of the many popular styles but I still believe there are many better tile jumpers out there
It's so mundane, and that can't be attributed to age - this was made at a time when people were making some great maps and puzzles that employed gameplay mechanics using tiles more than objects. Even still, "tile-jumpers" existed quite some time before this, and they had such higher quality, i.e. most of Lucidium's archive. I also don't understand how you find this pleasant to look at when it's rendered almost objectively uninteresting by contrived and overused tile-structures.

I do think I have a neat demo here, though, where I use a really simple method of getting to the exit that I don't know has been seen yet.

i like romaniac's demo, too, though xaelar is 4 frames faster iirc

hoo hoo hoo
Demo Data
good but not amazing

nice

i liek this

so much fun

i had great fun trying to speed this.... heres a nott so good speed...
Demo Data

Way too easy for a jumper. The jumps are very genric, being staples of jumpers. This isn't too bad, except when the map is featured, when you except it to be original, not just a mishmashy. 2/5

isnt that a fake online school

Sha

ZAAM
at least this map is better than that

here's what i think

the review really bothered me. it sounded like you were recommending martyr (or this map) to the University of Phoenix or something. doesn't make sense i know, but bare with me. in any case, you basically just oozed over the map and didn't really put a lot of thought into the review IMO. overall, it felt amateur realllllly amateur.

the map is weird too.
is Romaniac's demo :p

uh, Kaylab

...this isn't really a tileset, and, uh...there have been tilesets reviewed before.

I personally did the first one, I believe.

When I saw this

I was expecting a hard core, I'll never complete this, map. I got it first try. Granted, it was 8000 frames long, but still. It wasn't a huge challenge. Not really a puzzle at all.

As for the jumper part, the map was well executed, except the parts like the lower left where you have to fall onto a half a tile to jump sideways to the next ledge :S

As for the tile part, it's ok. Not a fan of the very left way (increments). The bubbles are cool with a 6 tile instead of plain four 4 tiles. But the tiles were dedicated more to gameplay, which served its purpose decently.

sweet map

definately worthy featured :P 5/5

OH SHIT

Man, this map is like- WUUU!

5/5

It's about time a tile-set got featured. I'm just saying.
Serious, what? A puzzle shouldn't be this easier and should be a little puzzly, you know. The map is really nice and all, it's just a tileset jumper, with no puzzle elements. And it's really easy, I completed it on my very first try.
Demo Data
But it's still nice. 4.

How did

a jumper puzzle like this get featured before http://www.nmaps.net/13790 [nmaps.net]..
out the demo I made on this for BLUR2.
Does this count as cheated?
Demo Data

Oh shit sorry

I screwed up that part of the review.

martyr is the tits, yeh?
I don't find them to be that demanding mapmaking wise. Any lucidium jumper would probably deserver more recognition than this. I like martyr, but this just isn't that enjoyable.

haha

I have the first comment on this map. I love when reviewers seek out older classics. I remember when there was a phase when we all made maps like this. I even cited this exact map when I tried making a tile jumper [nmaps.net].

=/

cool jump in the bottom left corner :)
Demo Data

To

fuck with your mind. ^^ And they're supposed to generate a craving for choco'milk.

oh, goddamit

how did I not see that? >_>

I swear my way was the intended way though. Otherwise why are those ledges there? ._.

^^

I think you guys are being a little too conservative with the term "cheatable". If you guys can pull off some badass jumping in a skill jumper, than isn't that the whole point? Even if it wasn't intended, it just makes the map more versatile and open for better players.

You also made that last jump a little too hard squibbles.
Demo Data

Cheated, kinda

fbf'd just to show it's possible. agree w/ mahi and agree w/ aero about that part of the review.
