Whoever said simplistic maps didn't deserve high ratings couldn't be more wrong. Fanatica [nmaps.net], a map out of the brilliant mind of Losttortuga [nmaps.net], is this groundbreaker. Though there isn't much to the level, even for a simple map, the atmospheric tileset and the ultimate sense of achievement after an AGD make this a must-play. However, don't take it too leisurely. The lone rocket still presents a challenge and isn't easily outwitted. This map is the definition of epic simplicity. — kisler

I have to take issue with those trees being "atob's". That tree was the first thing I ever made in Ned, before I even found NUMA. It's so simplistic that any n00b can easily think it up, is my point.

I didn't like the map too much though, to be honest. I guess there wasn't enough action for me.

Tiles are nice, but i'll forever think of that tree as atob's tree. The gold placement is very weak, and yeah, there's not much else to it. Not bad for a new mapmaker.

I can appreciate simple.

However, the map isn't fun to play, and the only slightly redeeming value are the tiredly overused tiles. The gold isn't very fun to reach, and the exit switched seemed to placed where it fit into the tileset without concern for gameplay. I've played this map a dozen times to make sure my initial cynicism wasn't what was making me dislike this map, but I really don't see the flare.

Sorry to be a total cock-block.
