I like my maps to be one-off challenges rather than highscoring things. I'll definitely try making something with less or even (gasp) no mines later on. Hard to believe, but I never used mines as a staple in my maps until about 150 maps in D:

also, as for this map. i like your ideas. your sense of aesthetics are /perfect/ in my book, you have great ideas for mechanics.. i just think you need to pull it off better. for me, most of your maps come across as annoyingly tedious. like, not much replay value. i'd minimize the mines if i were you, i know they're pretty, but you need gameplay on your side as well.
