Description I'm warning you now, this map will be outrageously difficult to novice players. Getting the trapdoor might drive you crazy. To get it, you need a quick walljump off the lower-right tiles. Getting out of the gold room on the left side is also tricky. You can either get a healthy walljump or try a slow double jump off the 4-tile against the wall. The launchpad area is fairly easy, just walljump when you you hit it. Best of luck to you.

And a big thanks to krusch and golfkid for playtesting. This map would be five times harder otherwise.

EDIT: The mines on the floor have been removed to make it a bit easier.

Not bad

But not really my thing. I agree with 179, and I have always felt that way about tough jumper maps like this (including Lucidium's old jumpers, which everyone seemed to love). But anyway, here I am, playing this map. I did have some fun with it, but at the cost of more frustration than I would've liked. To each his own. 3/5

I dunno, I thought it was easier to ignore the trap door, in fact, I thought that jump was one of the easiest parts, imo.

True, I haven't seen those exact jumps before--but almost every single map on NUMA has a different tileset and involves different object placement. That doesn't mean they all do something special. Gameplaywise, it just didn't strike me as anything amazing, which is why the fact that it's so difficult hurts it so much.

of course, looking at the other comments I might be the only one who feels this way. But to me, it was hard as in "agh, this is frustrating" instead of "Ah! I almost got it that time! ok, let's see if THIS works."

I'm not even going to try for better. Really good style of jumper, the ones with mines everywhere don't provide anything like this. VERY challenging.

It doesn't add any difficulty to the map - it just forces you to start over after /one/ little mistake on the bouncepad which, after spending a while getting the trapdoor, is /extremely/ unforgiving. I'm down to be challenged, but that's just unkind.
Show me a map that uses a launchpad in this way, and show me a map that uses a similar jump to get to the trapdoor switch. Optionally, show me a map which uses a setup like the one I used for the left-hand gold room.

Because I have never seen any of these done before. Also 1211, I know it's possible without the trapdoor. It's just much harder.

IMO--

extreme difficulty without any real innovation or other mitigating factors does not a good map make.

Reminds me of Lucidium's 'Deceptive', yet this map is a lot harder. Terribly frustrating for 'novice players' like me.

I found a way to get the locked door switch without the trap door, but I can't to the upper area. Extremely hard.
