Really cool!

Interesting style too. I'd suggest avoiding tile and gameplay repitition by making areas vary between open and wide with different enemies, forming a sense of travelling and gaining ways.

Pretty easy,

Try making smaller maps. When you start out, you don't have to fill the entire space with gameplay. Some of my favorite maps are among the smallest.
