Description Back to the basics with a happenin' action map. It is named after something I wish I felt far more frequently.

Wide awake is a stunner. The inner drone section is a marvelous blend of thought out, classy tiles and well chosen mine placement. The drones manage to achieve a good balance between the overbearing, and the useless. To base an entire map upon this heady blend, would probably have been tiresome, and given the relaxed, yet pacy gameplay found upon the pursuit of gold, the author understood this all too well - to the map's obvious benefit. — mintnut

The only way new mapmakers will see quality of the olden days if they're lucky enough to stumble upon them under the random command.
but it's still good. I like the author's style 4/5
5 from me simply cos the gameplay was pretty different from the present day maps, in a positive sense i mean... wasnt irritating even wid the apparent lack of space..
But I love that great_sea's been featured. I think he's a wonderful author, a sentiment shared by many, and now newer users have much greater chance of discovering his archive.




I've never played this but I've been around a while. Old maps are fine to be featured.

It allows us newer members who aren't so goddamned ancient to get a taste of the more classic side of NUMA. I hardly see how the age of a map affects the quality of it (unless you mean in terms of cheap, gimmicky styling), so, y'know, maybe you should just allow the featurers to do their job and select maps that are actually good, not brand new.

what a great map. easy and fun. the most fun part was the middle.


relieved that i got out of beginning part. had so much trouble with the mines and stuff. finally got to the open space which calmed me down..

I doubt those gold piles in the corners are worth getting for time trials, but who knows.

Really good. I like the closed off areas, they give it personality.


It was a really fun map. I was sad that you couldn't get to the gold in the middle, but other than that, it was great.
