Description -Press '1' before playing-

What? A DDA from George? No way!

-Clifty made me make this- at least at first...

This is my first DDA, as most of you would guess. Clifty started off that I should make a DDA (as a joke) on IRC, and after some talking, I decided to make one after all. I got some good tips off Clifty while making this.

It's a fairly long DDA, and uses up the whole map. I tried to limit the amount of gold delay used, but it was inevitable if I wanted to reach this length.

Also, I enjoyed making this, so you can expect more. It took about seven hours to make.

Without further ado, Danse Ropa.

I watched this DDA again. I struggled to watch the second part (the first one was full of close calls.)

I would have rated 2.5.

pfft...

I don't care what everybody says about gold delay and trampolines. I thought this was amazing.

great

one of the best DDAs I've ever seen.

Not the map!!!

the map is 5aved!

Not the map!!!

the map is 5aved!

z33ro, groan...

kind of sad actually.

Ah

This is a great first DDA, with some gold delay but forgivable, lots of playing around between N and the enemies as if it's telling a story!

Bitesize

*This map has officially been bitesized*

I

found this awesome! So cool. COuld have avoided the launchpads though. Anyway, this is definitely bitesized.

Congrats :)
i struggled to watch this one (probably the 5th dda ive seen today thats overated) 2.5/5
nice man! 6/5!
Not bad for a first, make another one.

Here's a tip

Don't use launchpads just because you can't seem to find another type of propulsion. You obviously aren't going to make a specific path, so just plan the path out as you go along. In my DDAs, I just plan the path out as I go along and try to make close calls. I try not to use launchpads unless they are entirely necessary in order to avoid dying. Also, I don't really think length matters that much in a DDA. I think that close calls and action make up for the gold delay and launchpads. If you made a 4000 frame DDA, but there were lots of close calls and also lots of lauchpads, I think the audience would enjoy it better than watching a 2000 frame DDA with no launchpads, gold-delay, and close calls. Also, I reccomend making an open tileset (like this one) and putting /enough/ enemies in there. If you put /too many/ enemies in there, if might lag a bit and there is a chance you might not even be able to use them all if the trap doors and tiles block them. Yeah, and about that: Too many trap doors or normal doors will block out enemies and make them useless. Try and use bounceblocks instead. Use trap doors and normal doors away from the "center" of the action. I don't usually put chaingun drones in DDAs, because there is a chance it might kill you because they shoot out randomly. These are all of my advice.

Hope this helps with your future DDAs ^_^
Lots of gold delay. It could've used a bit more action too. But it fun to watch, and I can tell a lot of effort was put into it. And the tileset isn't really gay like in most DDAs. 4.5/5

Absolutly awesome

5aved !

By the way, I finished a map that you commented the work in progress.
Check it out ! :)

Impressive

Totally beats my first DDA :P

I'm not sure whether or not I can agree this to be top rated as there is so much gold delay. The close calls were just amazing though. I'd never expect a DDA from you ^_^. I like /lots/ of enemies, and there wasn't as many in here. I don't classify thwumps as enemies.

4.5/5 - Overall
-.5 for gold delay
-.5 for not enough enemies
+.5 because it wasn't over 3000 frames (I hate long DDAs)

4/5

Woah

Maybe I haven't seen that many DDA's, but that was the most action-packed I've ever seen!!! 5/5aved

OMG

#3 DDA.
O_O

I love

the thwumps.

i hate you

grrr, why can't i make awesome levels like these

Why is it...

... That the first map of someones is always a brilliant one these days?

pretty impressive

-.5 for jumppad, but realized that you used great variety, so you get a 4.5/5

the other .5 is that no innovation...
*swings pendulum left* yooouuu willllllll play my level.... *swings pendulum right* yooouuu willllllll play my level...
*continues*

AGH

now krusch and atob make me feel guilty whenever I rate a map highly. :P
:)
I mean, it's nothing particularly... /new/.... it's a DDA, looks and smells like one anyway..
But I still really liked it. 4.5/5.

It depends.

Some DDAs, however, do not work consistently without being recorded.

wow

impressive. nice amount of enemys, variation of propultion, good length. 4.5/5

^_^

You're awesome.

Blew me away

like a gust of never-ending wind.
