My Girlfriend. [nmaps.net]
I thank God for the talents I have, and pray for the supply of more. I also thank other NUMA members for their criticism and praise through comments and ratings (I recognize karmap0lice for giving me my first comment on a map).
As for becoming a reviewer, I must say I'm a tad surprised. I didn't really expect it, but the powers that be gave me the position. I can only really equate my joy to that of a certain sea sponge when he became a fast food fry cook; which is to say, I might be making this a bigger deal than it is, but I'm still pretty excited nonetheless. Anyways, I'm a firm believer in "reviews are reviews", and as such they require criticism and ratings, and less poetry. Poetry won't be eliminated, of course, nor will vibrant imaginative comparisons. I guarantee these reviews to be entertaining, informative, and brief... or double your money back! Featured Map, August 28-29, 2011: Hichigo [nmaps.net] by ]{NO3 [nmaps.net] went over well, and it looked amazing. Haters gonna hate reviews.
Featured Map, August 11, 2011: you call me ugly, I'll call you fat [nmaps.net] by sneekfeet [nmaps.net]. More people like this than the previous feature, however, some didn't. I can't please everyone, so I just go with the maps I like.
Featured Map, August 9, 2011: Cyclic Redundancy [nmaps.net] by ninjaxion [nmaps.net]. I am quite disappointed at some people's reactions to this map. It seemed that not a lot of people liked this (for whatever reason, they didn't say), and now the map is stained with uninformative and negative comments. I thought it was fun, but the players thought it wasn't hard and therefore not enjoyable, is as far as I can guess.
I give a hearty thanks those defending the Free Parking map's non-auto-generated nature; it might have cost me a few good ratings, but now the fiasco is cleared up (for a few years now). I thank ultimatereading for giving me my first request via NUMA. If anyone else has a request, be sure to post it on one of my maps and I'll get right on it. Or, you can post it on the Facebook N Art [facebook.com] page (mrgy05 is recognized as the first NUMA member to join it).
And speaking of Facebook fan pages, someone should make one for espada777777 [nmaps.net]. His maps made me laugh so hard the tears got my eyes chapped.
I've changed my philosophy of not having a favorite authors list. It gives publicity, if you will, to good authors, and who knows how many people have looked at my page because of a fave authors list? Not a lot, to be frank, but whatever, here they are:
Cheez [nmaps.net] has awesome tilesets. Something about them is alluring even without the presence of enemies.
ZTHING [nmaps.net] gave me some helpful criticism. We also have a collab here [nmaps.net].
ultimatereading [nmaps.net] is awesome. He has referred to me as "Detective L" and is also a great mapper.
im_bad_at_N [nmaps.net] is a great N artist. His Drunken N map rocks, and is worthy of all the attention it recieved. He also gave my first DED [nmaps.net].
maxson924 [nmaps.net] is an awesome person. I liked especially the time when he had a certain quote by C.S. Lewis that complemented his "My Little Pony" picture magnificently.
Yay conformity! [nmaps.net]
