Map Data

Description My first DDA. Clocks in at about 1450 frames.

Thanks to the people on IRC who at least feigned interest when I was moaning about it. Special mentions to Thomas (TB007?) and Tanner for the sloped tile suggestion, AMLT and Yanni for something which I could remember until I started writing this description (sorry!) and another mention to AMLT for his advice ("Put down the exit, place the switch above the exit, put the ninja on the switch..."). Sorry to anyone I've forgotten!

See below for notes (NUMA refuses to believe that the map description is under 1000 characters, you see).

Have fun.

Interesting.

The map is alright, but why I don't get, no offence, this is rated a 4. My map, even though it was a 9 X 9, was my first SMALL DDA, is rated a 3.5, and sorry, it had less places of no action, and used 1 launchpad, much more close calls, its interesting the way NUMA Community rate maps. It my 2nd map from the bottom just in case you want to check. Interesting.

Anyway, about your map, ah some launchpads, like you say some boring bits and no-action bits, yes some good calls, maybe some more enemies would have done it.

Seeing as I have talked a lot endlessly you can have a 4.5!

what dw40 said

but I miss something 4/5

You know, you could have deleted some trapdoors and put propulsions for more natural close calls :P

I do not mind launchpads and gold delay as long as they are not overused.

Notes:

* Uses launchpads and gold delay. If you don’t like it, move along.
* I've tried to get the ninja up to some good speeds in places. However, this DDA features some short thwump waits, so the pace might slow down for a few seconds. Imagine elevator music playing.
* No code-edits, so you won't have to press J or 1 before playing and it should be userlevels-friendly.
* Some good close calls here, actually, so you may wish to FBF some of it. In particular, check the bottom-right corner. I'm very happy with it.
