Perhaps put a floor guard under the table, like a dog (kind of!) Gauss eyes? Candle could be mines so it burns you (like blakyoshi said) etc.

Some ideas

Make the flame mines (it burns!) and make the food gold instead, so you would be stealing the giant's food. Also, the giants should shoot at you with laser eyes, because that would be awesome. Great tileset you've got here!
