8. Never put a period inside of a parenthesis as I did above below in number seven (Instead you should include the parenthetical statement somewhere in your sentence before the next punctuation mark, whether that be a comma or a period, and do not put a period at the end of a sentence in parentheses).
9. Never use water to put out a grease fire. Instead, you should smother the flames with something, preferably flour as that should be relatively nearby and won't catch fire. If you do pour water on a grease fire you'll get a nice explosion of flame in your face.
10. If you want to know how much time is left before the sun sets, you can get a rough estimate by holding your hand out at arm's length and counting the number of fingers between the sun and the horizon, with each finger counting for about 15 minutes.
11. When juggling three balls, you should release the second ball when the first is at the very height of its arc (this should also be the point your looking at; an imaginary dot in front of your face that the ball should summit on) and then so on and so forth but you can't learn to juggle by reading a paragraph so good luck with that.
12. If you have insomnia, this [youtube.com] could possibly cure it.
13. Never ask me for advice again or I might end up writing more fun facts.
14. The Burj Dubai had its name changed before its opening to the Burj Khalifa, and the Sears Tower had its name changed to Willis Tower... last summer, I think?
15. The capital of Palau is Melekeok, but you've never even heard of Palau before and have absolutely no idea where it is.
16. The 2016 Summer Olympics are in Rio de Janeiro, which is not the capital of Brazil, so don't guess it. The real capital is Brasília.

I'm not a great mapper myself but I'll try and throw out some tips.
1. While every map should have my name written in mines or gold, it's unnecessary and can be annoying due to lengthening loading time for no good reason, it's ugly, etc. Of course, there are exceptions to every rule. Here's an example where writing in gold works just fine. [nmaps.net]
2. Kinda the same thing with the locks; don't just throw them across an entire upon space, find a way of only using one or two to guard the next key, or leave the whole area lock-free and then just have several locks blocking a tunnel to the finish. That way, you are able to have more options with how you go about playing the map and more room to jump around in, which should usually be the point of big, open-area maps.
3. Difficulty was relatively even throughout, which is good. The increasing difficulty on your last map was very nice, too, for example.
4. The enemies ended up being surprisingly well-placed considering it just looked like they were dropped there without purpose. I didn't really like how you kept changing enemies in what felt like the same place, I would've preferred a theme of chaser drones or thwumps, for example, with the occasional gauss, rocket, floorguard, whatever-extra-you-see-fit enemy. Also, make sure the enemy is a good threat. That last chaingun didn't really do much there.
5. Flow. This is a tricky subject, and I'm not sure I can really give any advice here, but I'll just say that this felt pretty awkward to jump around in.
6. The single pieces of gold weren't much of an incentive in this map, and also felt kind of out of place.
7. Play maps by great authors. Over time you should be able to tell what's a good map and what's not. Of course, it still always depends on personal taste, but this should still help. (Except not so much with me; I feel like a can judge maps pretty well now, but still can't make them too well, or at least not consistently.)
