I really like the mine usage and the tileset. The enemies themselves could have been placed more effectively, I thought, but both the gausses are well placed.

{bleh}: it doesn't fit what NUMA calls a race map, you're right. But remember that these things are subjective.

mmm: the first rocket comes into play a little more when you're going for the exit, when it becomes the last rocket, I suppose. :)

Godless: that's a good definition of what NUMA calls a "race" map. Why you would want to play a map like that, however, is beyond me.

bleh is a little too harsh, but pretty much correct. It's got very little intuitiveness which is what a race really needs. Your actions as the player should be automatic, you shouldn't have to think about where to go next.

this is not a race. it is just a really sucky looking action map with a little bit of flow to it. but not much.
