And I have to say it's not the best of tendencies. Firstly, I want to say that I understand why you put all the gold, and that's because you want people to experience every little nook and cranny and room of your map. Afterall, you just made this huge map where every mine and tile provides a unique challenge to the player, and without a keycard or gold, why should the player ever visit that section?

Well therein lies the difficulty in making a truly exceptional adventure map. Large maps take up the entire space, and they have tons of place you can go, but forcing the player to visit each section by gilding them in gold is an amateurish move to make up for a lack of flow between sections. The hard part of adventure maps is creating incentive for the player to want to visit each part, but without making it that they have to.

although it didn't really feel like a typical 00-0 map due to its length + difficulty.
there was also too much gold IMO.
