Map Data

Description An idea for the Breakable Glass idea. The one-ways show the speed limit you need to break the "glass", to give an idea on the speed limit of the doors.

Bottom: Normal Glass
Middle: Reinforced Glass
Top: Bulletproof Glass

Anything beyond a level 3 door would require an unnatural speed boost (thwumps, walljumping, launchpads).

I thought you had borrowed the technique from my post in the topic in the forums. Apologies for being presumptuous.

Guess that...

The oneways are just the effective distance for a 100% chance of breaking it.
They don't always work like they should. Check the demo. I think it has something to do with the slide, or the way N is positioned or how he hits the door, but I have no idea.

Nice application

But you seem to have overestimated how strong they were. For the first one just over half the distance you recommended did it, on the second a bit less, and on the top one running from a little less than the second row's oneway opens it. If you made them stronger and tested them more thouroughly in any level where they're used, though, it could be great.

heck yess!!!

that was AWESOME! but there was no point, otherwise good. 3.5/5

Oh, and Eldrial.

The one way's just show how close you can get until the door won't open with a simple charge. Run into the one way, then run back towards the door and it should open. Any less momentum and it probably won't open up.

Uh, nevermore..

You can't really call it "your" technique..

A) I said in the forums I did it before seeing your posts.
B) It's been done before, one example is my map Dilemma.

I wouldn't say anybody took this method for themselves, so it's just a door technique.

i don't get what the one-ways do. do you have to start running from there... or?

By the way

It's my technique.
