and the map is by no means perfect; I'm with the 'above average' notion, but I found something equally as intangible that makes me love it.

The gausses weren't the only problem, they were just the easiest problem to describe. In general, the map just wasn't fun or interesting enough to me, but while that's true, it's rather vague. The gausses were something I could offer constructive commentary on.
Pretty fun map. 3/5

The only real problem I found with the 3 gauss is that they force you to take the gold a certain way from the two centre cones (if you want speed, that is). As this 'forced' route is probably the most preferable, I don't really see how it matters.
Everywhere else on the map they can be avoided very simply, too.

The jumps are pretty good, but the three gausses are overbearing, especially on the center two ice cream cones. 3/5.

very satisfying and fun map. The ice cream shapes are a joy to collect and some of the jumps are just great.

simple yet somewhat challenging
but i do think that you should do different flavors...vanilla gets kinda boring after a while...maybe cherry (mines), sherbert (mines + gold), or chocolate (switches and doors)
