If you see its not over the top amounts. Some of it on the route some of it of to encourage you to take a slightly different longer route. Not too spread out to look random but not to close together to look odd. Interesting shape which is fun to collect. The kinda stuff you need.

As for are your maps getting better I would say so. I've only really looked at this one and the last but just by looking at the thumbnails you can see they've got more structure to them. If your worried take a look at someone like my first maps the first 5 were terrible and a lot of peoples were just listen to people and when you play a good map think about what makes it good and you will get better :)

gold in clumps is fine, it just might be more intriguing if you shaped it to look unique and appealing.

don't worry chume i am going to thx for the pointers r my lvls getting better?
but its usually best to avoid gold in large rectangles it looks ugly, isn't that fun to collect and adds no challenge a change to gameplay. That would be my main point concerning this map gold

look at how the pros do gold
try to think up some interesting patterns (not touching)
use in moderation
try playing the map a few times find a good route and then place gold along it or in such a way that it causes a player to take a new interesting route

could you rate mine :)
