Umm...
A little help for you:
Try and make your gold placement somewhat of a challenge, like near an enemy or a mine. And always try to make as many enemies as possible in the enclosed area you have.
As for the tileset...
Make it unique. Something that people would've never thought you could make. Something abstract, but somewhat simple. Always put time into your maps, because time won't always be there.
