i once thought of it that way too, but that view fell by the wayside. just do what you find fun; create things that you like; you'll become more polished with experience, and you'll become what he is. he didn't get where he is by idly dreaming. he got where he is by actively dreaming :)

but he's made a lot of maps over the years, and he's only one person. we need other people like him :D

we have a real shortage of high-level racemakers on numa right now, so any interest we can stir in the genre is much appreciated :)

my advice is to be intentional about your sections - give attention to each individual mechanic of the flow to make sure it works properly and fits the mood of the map. the whole will eventually come together if you can make sure the pieces are creative and mechanically sound.
