heres advice:
try to spread out the gold more, and you don't need so many mines. Flow is not bad, but personally i prefer more open races, not the tunnelly kind, but thats just me.

Nice for a first!
Usually first races are poorly made, but this one isn't so bad. The only thing I would change is try to make less of a drawn path, and make it more open, rather than just a little passageway to follow. Otherwise, good! 3.5/5

try to use less of the 3,8,2 tile combinations, it don't look pretty and it ruins the flow (i do it a little myself so your not the only one, only use it when neccessary.)
and a race map, along with DDA's are the longest map to make. if you want to make a remotly good one, you have to spend more than 5 minutes on it, it is very time consuming.
