the 5-tiles are the best part. they add some sort of indistrialized feel to it

oh and micky_tp, along with everyone else who say I rated 5 for everything (which was btw only the month of january 09 when I stopped rating), I do not over love everything. People like you tend to look at maps and judge it immediately, I play the map and look for the effort put into the map and the time put into the map. These tiles are not generic because he did a factory tileset previously, look for a better excuse, although I don't want to read it, so just think of it and put it in your pocket.

Micky TP, I have to agree with oof____kabooff completely, you are being extremely rude and calling it "Critique" the other day I said how much I hated your map and you go ranting off every swear you can possibly think of and sent me hate mail, then tell GTM. I think you should infact tone it down, we all understood the first time your wrote "meh and ugly", no need to keep babbling, nobody, well at least I, cares to hear your opinion more than once

I don't find the whole thing generic, and I definitely don't think the clouds look ugly. They actually look kind of cool, even if a bit out of place. Plus the smoke on the factory is made well too.

However, I don't like all the 5 tiles on the factory, and around it. It just doesn't look as well as the rest of the tiles.

Still, this gets a 3.5 (up) from me. Well done!

Don't take it so personally. It's critique. Grow up and take it to heart.

First off, nothing is to say that this is an N-art tileset. Therefore I rate playability and usability. Not very usable at all. Not much could be done without making the map look worse, and it it too bumpy and awkward.

Secondly, the clouds are ugly, slapped in, and extremely generic. Most authors tend to use this pattern at some point, and it's a hit for upcoming authors trying to get noticed. Since the community is so fickle and will love anything, it is a hit. Out of all the people who commented, karma's opinion is the only one I would take to heart. He overloves things a little bit, but he's established himself and well respected. im_bad_at_N rates everything about 4 or 5, and so do most of the people who have commented.

Anyway, the bottom is boringly ugly, the holes in the tiles do nothing but further the aggravation in the eye from the contrast of the two different tile types. Overall, not too good. I thought 2 was quite generous.

I think this guy has serious talent.

...But this map definitely looks better in thumbnail.
Looking at the full view, I kinda agree with MickyTP. The clouds are kinda ugly... But is still a good looking map.

MY OPINION. It's not your's to judge. So don't. It's a rate, get over it.

You can see from the "Other maps by this author" that he emulates the tile pattern a lot. And a lot of maps are done like this. Plus, many maps these days _are_ generic. Especially those that I've commented on.

To me, it looks "meh" and the clouds are ugly. Sorry you didn't like the comment, but I really don't care. It's a generic map, with a different picture. Wow. You're too blind to see beyond a simple scribbling.
