Map Data

Description (Also Known As "Oh Snap!")
For my third map, I thought it would be fun to make a DDA. This thing has grown to epic proportions. Clocking in at three minutes, It's certainly one of the longest DDAs, if not the longest one.
I did have some help on this, but it was from a friend who's never played n, so it doesn't count for much. :)
Not a single launch pad has been edited, although I ran into a few glitches while making the map that are used to the ninja's advantage.
I hope it's apparent that each time we sent the ninja into the lower right hand corner, it got exponentially harder to retrieve him. On his final voyage to the corner, it took an hour or two to engineer an escape route.
Also, I apologize for the long delay near the end while waiting for the thwump to come, but I hope you agree that what happens next is worth the wait.

I hope everyone has as much fun watching it as I did making it!

(FYI, I just tried to run this in normal mode by placing it in userlevels.txt but it didn't work, so it's probably a good idea to just run it in debug mode)

I guess you can't please everyone. Some people like cheating death and some don't, but I tried not to overuse it. The only case that was absolutely neccessary, however, was where the thwump "kills" him and he rockets out to the next section of the level. I don't think I could have gotten him out without that occurance.

Suggestions

Um, too many launch pads...
I understand the death cheating, but I PERSONALLY (so you really don't need to stop it) don't like cheating death in these userlevel 1.4 days... He didn't get all the gold xD

It's alright and such, my opinion is in the middle of evil_bob and mithril_silver

3.5/5

I agree with mithril on the long part(cause I like pads). most of the three minutes seemed to be looping or waiting for a thwump but I loved the close calls and the way you cheated death.

It's Ok

I'll give it 3.5/5. I liked the close calls but there were too many launch pads for my taste.

Yeah

Yeah, sorry about that last part. Originally, he was chased by a missile there, but I couldn't find away to block the killer missile and let that one through.
The biggest problem with this map (but also the part that made it quite interesting to build) is that he crosses the same areas multiple times and with different paths, and after a while you simply run out of places to put stuff. Perhaps I can avoid that problem in my next DDA.

ok this was a good DDA but at someparts i just wanted to stop watching cuz it was long especially the last push by the thwumps... and there is way too many pads im srry im gonna give this a 3/5
