You implemented the 4tiles into the aesthetics of the map well

and the map felt like a flow playground of sorts, with an intended route

there are serveral things I don't like :/...
Sometimes the rocket killed me although I did it how it should be done and this jump after the gauss+bounceblock section was really annoying (I got it only one time right)...
You have also to control your jumps and slow them down very often... That's not a bad thing, but I often missed the gold after the launchpad, because I went too fast :P...

But the race also has it good sites: The aesthetics are good (they always seem to be good in your races ^^) and I quite liked some of the jumps... The flow was interesting :]... I'll give it a 3.5^

I remember

My fifth map was very similar to this: Perfect form [nmaps.net]
It also had a first jump that you had to nail perfectly, plus it was race-like and had a rocket in the middle.
This one has mines and a better tileset, though.

No offense, but you're wrong.
An abstract race map has precise flow, usually through somewhat unconventional means, that is not obvious at first glance.
What you have here is an action map, with some flow to it.
