Map Data

Description A reverse of this. [nmaps.net]

Slightly puzzly, but only on the bit of planning ahead. Tagging this "perplex" just isn't worth it, not even that puzzly.

But at least learn his first tip. Only use SINGLE enemies. None of this clumped laser bullshit, it's pointless and it looks ugly. Then I also recommend you don't just have random enemies everywhere - revolve the map around a single enemy (this one was fine because you had the drones sticking with you the whole time)

this is a very good map of yours ; )

TAKE SOME SHIT FROM N2.0 NEW MAPPERS AND MAKE SOMETHING GREAT OUT OF IT!!!
Well, This is possibly the most interesting and challenging. I'll try to explain. You must pick a map from N2.0, each 2.0 map has its own URL, explained somewhere in Forums. Then, you need to convert it to 1.4, also explained somewhere in Forums. You has several ways to make it, or by hand or using converter in Forums. And also, you decide what to pick of the maps, if tiles, if objects, if both and remixing, if taking only ideas and making something better, if parts, do what you want with the original user map from 2.0, but make something different, new, interesting and better than the original. You can make a series of this kind of map as well. And finally, it is up to you if choose a concrete map from 2.0 to work with, but the most interesting AND CHALLENGING thing is to pick it randomly by the URL, without knowing beforehand which map and how is. This is the way I did the single map I did with that method. Here: http://www.nmaps.net/229205 (also you can find in the description the steps to HOW to make EXACTLY a map that way, this map was made without knowing the map was in the URL and selecting it randomly, I prefer like that because it is more interesting and above all, more challenging to me, enjoy the map as well :P). And if it is necessary to say, it was me who invented this mapmaking method, not converting maps from 2.0 of course, but mixing them and mapping like that. Nobody made a map like this before, and the only map and the first map made in the whole NUMA that way is mine, the one linked above.

Now, you have three mapping methods in which you can experiment with, and make possibles series from each method. There are lots of other methods or ideas to map or make series of maps, but I think it is enough to start to map and work the creativity, you can make three completely different series if you want and I think it is lot and hard work. Anyway, if you don't like them, and if you want to know some other methods better, just ask me. Now, enjoy! And I hope to see great and intereting thing Pixelio! ;) <3

2. METSESSIONS
I'm titling this MetSessions because I've already made some like this and I named them like that when I did. I think you've tried it once a time if I remember well. It's simple, you must open your N and enter to Ned with a Metanet map loaded, then quit Ned and let N start to load another Metanet map, AND BEFORE the map loads completely (having both maps in screen, previous tiles and the new ones) you should enter again to Ned, and then you has two Metanet original tiles mixed. You can repeat that step as many times you want, mixing several maps on the same or just until you get something you wish. Then when you has the mixed desired tiles from originals Metanet, work with them and make a cool map on them. You have two possible ways to map, or trying to make maps with a gameplay Metanet inspired since the tiles are so, or trying to make conceptual thing NOT METANET by the contrary on them. But, as I've said before, I think you know what I mean because you already made a map like this, if I rememeber correctly. Or it was woutery? IDK :P If it is necessary to say, too many authors tried it once a time, but I first saw it from TheBlackLion.

Ok,

We will help Pixelwiz,

I'm going to list here some mapping ideas/series, interesting in some way, he can choose thtomos interesting to work with, or perhaps taste all, and being able to make a series of maps as well like this.

1. WORKING WITH A SINGLE ENEMY
This one it's quite simple, as the name suggests, you must work with a single enemy, but no with a single type of enemy, if not with A SINGLE enemy, i.e. only a single laser, only a single rocket, only a single thwump,... Mines are up to you, you decide if use or not use them belong that single enemy. You should create an interesting map/gameplay around the concept of using that single enemy, trying to exoit it or its possibilities, trying to make a gameplay as extent or interesting using only that single enemy. You imagine a map with a single thwump in where it helps you and it attacks you at different points of the same gameplay? Something like that. You can make a series full of maps using single enemies, experimenting with each on each map. If it is necessary to say, this idea could be taken from BionicCryonic, he suggested it to Traveleravi around IRC.

I'll continue on next comment.

Eww

That formatting is disgusting. Ah well, I got my point across I think. Also as for the map itself, those lasers are stupid and pointless don't do that. Sub 500 speedrun (better ending)

the23, come on.. Sure he's "stealing" or "plagiarising" your work but this is a mapping COMMUNITY meaning people should be able to splice and take bits from everybody, granted they explain what it is they've stolen I suppose.
If you notice, pixelwiz actually did make a comment in his last map regarding you towards his latest reverse efforts of mapping - so I don't know what you're getting so worked up about.
Let him have his fun, if he's making good maps (the last one was meh, but this one is better) I say let the man do what he wishes - but hey let him be open to both of our opinions as well :)

Really you are a boy so little creative, dull and devoid of ideas, and now all your maps will be reversed ones one after another??? A map made from inverted tiles from another author is a very old thing, it's nothing new and I have not invented anything. But really I do not understand your point now to start making them when I'm making a series of maps just like this.

You should be a bit more creative and try to make something of your own, if you want a series, but something that is an idea of yours, or at least, not making the same that another user are making at the same moment. Here's some thoughts just about plagiarism and above all, personality and presence. Take them the way you want.

Btw, this one is not as bad, I guess.
