Map Data

Description A map I made a few weeks ago. I would have posted it sooner, but it was included in Season 3 Week 1 of NPoints, so I waited for it to be posted on Nv2 first.
Named for a song from the Cowboy Bebop soundtrack. After playing the level again, I have no idea why I chose this song for the title. "Live in Baghdad" would probably have been a better choice, but whatever. I'll stick to my instincts and keep the name!

I really like this. The last section is not bad. I thought it could even be harder; it seems easier than the rocket section to me. Great map: fun, looks awesome, flowy, and challenging. 5/5

You could also place the exit 1/4 of a tile up so that I actually notice the oneway right away...
heh

That said, I do think that the gold placement in that last section is not fun to get. I still like the concept, however.

Also, I like the visual concept, and you use it well, it's full of varied and interesting kind of puzzlish jumps.

well,

this jump is really really annoying...
I like the concept you were going for; but imo the boss shouldn't rely on dumb luck to get past its first jump

death demo.

Personally, I liked the calm before the storm feel of the enemy-less section. This is just the first time I got to the last gold so I don't know yet how I feel about it. More feedback to come...

I was actually going back and forth on whether or not to put another enemy after the rocket and before the end, but I couldn't find a aesthetically pleasing place to put one, and it didn't seem to really affect gameplay whenever I did put in something, so I decided against it. Instead, I tried to go for a "calm before the storm" kind of thing with the end, which is why I put in a block of gold next to the Gauss-turret, rather than just another out of the way gold cluster like I had been. However, I guess it didn't really work out as I'd hoped.
I really appreciate the feedback! I love when people give me feedback. I'll never get better if I don't know what I'm doing wrong. :D

Really liked it up through the rocket — nice flowy gameplay, kept me moving quickly, with the gold adding just enough extra challenge. The enemy-less section was quite good, but I'm not sure it fit the first half of the map? And I just couldn't get into that large block of gold; it wasn't really fun to collect, just a bit awkward. Maybe coulda been better with another moving enemy and more room for maneuvering, or just with less gold. Enjoyed it overall, though!
