| Description | This is something I really wish we had done more of - I watched Mare and Raigan's GDC presentation the other day, and they had a time lapse video of the 'making of' one of their maps. And we tried (And mostly failed) at preserving original versions or rejected versions of maps to show you guys, but we honestly only were able to salvage a handful. There were a great many maps where we also just made a bunch of small, incremental changed, but there were others like this where the changes were stark.
And a lot of these showcase the amount of detail that we got into during the project, but also the level of growth each mapper had during the 3 years we were doing this. You'll also notice that most (if not all) of the maps here with first versions were from our Origins pack. |
